I used to live in Waukegan but when I met my ex-wife I moved here to North Chicago to live with her, to build a relationship.
With my second wife I had 4 kids; my son and daughters living in Waukegan. That's why I decided to stay for a long time– so they could grow seeing their father. So in the future they don’t feel upset about not having their father around.
North Chicago is a calm place, but just like everywhere in the world, there’s people that do bad things. Thank God I live calmly; nobody bothers me and I don't bother anyone.
Every year, I visit San Antonio for two weeks. If I decide I don’t want to live in North Chicago, I would like to retire and move to Texas.
I lived in Mexico and I was very poor. Here, I was able to save money and it made me more calm and happier. I live calmly and happily, and God has helped me to be financially stable. I don't ask anyone for anything.
What’s your idea of the perfect day?
My perfect day? [Laughter] That’s hard to say… but a perfect day would be where my family gets along and goes out to eat, and they don’t curse or say bad things to each other. But only eating– because I don’t drink anymore.
